3rd Taste of City Conference 2018: Food and Place Marketing

Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to the Taste of City: Food and Place Marketing Conference 2018 Antalya, which will be hosted by Akdeniz University Tourism Research, Development and Application Centre (TAGUM) on 4-5 October 2018. The TOC 2018 Antalya is an international peer-reviewed academic research conference with a focus on understanding the dynamics and role of food play in place marketing and branding. This unique event aims to bring together researchers, scholars and practitioners to explore the ways in which food and places are marketed in an interconnected fashion.

Publication opportunities for papers presented at the conference will be provided by Advances in Hospitality and Tourism Research (AHTR). Selected conference papers related to topics in tourism will be invited for the peer-review process of AHTR Journal to be included in a special issue.

The intricate issues of creativity and sustainability are ongoing problems in the hospitality and tourism field. As a result of the recent ongoing challenges facing hospitality and tourism, developing and advancing research methods are exceedingly necessary to hospitality and tourism practitioners and academics. It is especially significant to call for more focused efforts on research publication in journals that encompass more established and traditional disciplines, academia, and industry.
 
This special issue thus calls for papers from postgraduates, Ph.D. students, Ph.D. candidates, new assistant professors, and graduating students. As an excellent opportunity to publish more papers, this issue also provides researchers with a pathway to participate in the 8th Advances in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing and Management (AHTMM) conference, which will bring together other researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to meet and share recent developments in their field. After the conference, there will be one month for contributors to revise their paper submissions. The guest editor of this special issue will take significant responsibility for selecting potential authors. By taking a pragmatic perspective, the guest editor welcomes all types of conceptual, empirical, and methodological research papers that focus on different creativity and sustainability themes in the hospitality and tourism domain.
